Art Work Details: This is a study of a contemporary Chinese artist, Li Songsong, whose unique use of composition and his analogous color scheme was very appealing.  Li takes old newspaper photos and reassembles the faces into different planes and colors, and while his use of large canvases and thick paint cannot be duplicated, I tried to recreate the feeling of impasto and largesse on a smaller scale.
