Due to its wet climate, rural Scotland is characterized by small streams flowing from hills and mountains.  This drain carries excess water from a specific hillside to lower lying levels.  Each drop which passes through the drain has its own story.  But where has the water come from, where is it ultimately going, and what would happen if water traveled in a different direction through the drain?
