Art Work Details:

I took a photo of this beach in 1977 when I was living in Jamaica, West Indies.   Carleton Beach was about a half an hour walk from a small house on a cliff overlooking the ocean where I was living on a 5-acre subsistence level farm with a friend.   As a young art student, nature and beach scenes were frequent subjects for my art but this painting was made forty years later.  In it I wish to capture the freedom of that era and the feeling of jumping into the cool tropical water.
